The Key to the Storehouse

If you have lost your home or your job, and are wondering which way to turn, be assured that your kind Heavenly Father loves you and is interested in every aspect of your life.He is not short in resources and facilities, he has all wisdom and the boundless resources of the universe are at His command. He can lead you, He can help you and show you a safe way out,he can put your life back together again, if you decide to trust Him and put yourself in His loving hands.

"Why should the sons and daughters of God be reluctant to pray, when prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse, where are treasured the boundless resources of Omnipotence?" Prayer, page 24.

"Pray without ceasing." 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

"There is no need for us to hunger, there is no need for us to thirst, while the storehouse of heaven is open for us and the key is given into our possession. What is the key? Faith, which is the gift of God. Unlock the storehouse; take of its rich treasures." That I May Know Him, page 7.

"Let us take the key of faith, and unlock the storehouse of God's rich blessings. . . . There is an infinite fullness to draw from; and we have the promise of our divine Lord, "According to your faith be it unto you." We may win the crown of life, a place at God's right hand, and as we enter the pearly gates, hear the words, sweeter than any music, "Well done, good and faithful servant . . . : enter thou into the joy of thy lord" (Matthew 25:23)" Lift Him Up, page 266.

"In the Old Testament Scriptures he will find a storehouse of the most precious instruction, the gospel being the key. The teachings of Christ contain the most precious seed of the gospel, and the heart is to be its receptacle. But if the heart is not cleansed from sin, Christ can not dwell there. The one or the other must be the controlling element." RH

"We should be in a position where we may believe that God is willing to do for us more than we can ask or think. With the key of faith we may unlock the storehouse of God. Then why should we not be believing Christians instead of doubters?" ST

"Gather up the precious rays of light, and yet grasp for more. If any man thirst, let him come and drink, and drink again, and continue drinking. If any thirst, come and drink. Why stand back from the fountain? Why not come to the fullness of Christ? He has put into our hands the key which will open the storehouse where are the immortal treasures. Shall we not take of His love and drink in of His fullness? God grant that we shall have an experimental knowledge of what it is to be Christ's, and Christ ours. Let self die and break all to pieces, and let Jesus put His armor upon us, and put His mold and superscription upon us." MR

All Your Needs. . .

"If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it." John 14:14.

"Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?" Matthew 6:30.

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us." 1 John 5:14.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33.

"Give, and it shall be given unto you," God has promised; "good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom." Luke 6:38.

"Christians should not allow themselves to be troubled with anxious care as to the necessities of life. If men love and obey God, and do their part, God will provide for all their wants. Although your living may have to be obtained by the sweat of your brow, you are not to distrust God; for in the great plan of His providence, He will supply your need from day to day. This lesson of Christ's is a rebuke to the anxious thoughts, the perplexities and doubts, of the faithless heart. No man can add one cubit to his stature, no matter how solicitous he may be to do so. It is no less unreasonable to be troubled about the morrow and its needs. Do your duty, and
trust in God; for He knows of what things you have need." ---R.H., Sept. 18, 1888.

"When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them." Isaiah 41:17.

"And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." Isaiah 32:18.

"They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied." Psalm 37:19.

"The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children." Psalm 37:25.

"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Psalm 37:25.

"Ask. . ."

"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16.

"When Christ bowed on the banks of the Jordan after His baptism and offered up prayer in behalf of humanity, the heavens were opened; and hte Spirit of God, like a dove of burnishd gold, encircled the form of the Saviour; and a voice came from heaven which said, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.' What significanse does this have for you? It says that heaven is open to your prayers. It says that you are accepted in the Beloved. The gates are open for every mother who would lay her burden at the Saviour's feet. It says that Christ has encircled the race with His human arm, and with His divine arm He has grasped the throne of the Infinite and united man with God, and earth with heaven." —Child Guidance, 525, 526.

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
